Congratulations! If you've completed all the steps in this online training series, give yourself a big pat on the back, as you are now the proud owner of a website you control yourself!

Final Notes: As I've mentioned throughout the course of this training, this is not a comprehensive training about how to use WordPress. There are so many fantastic plugins, themes and programs you can use with the wordpress platform that I can't even begin to tell you what's possible.

However, before I  wrap this up, I want to provide you with some sample blogs I've set up, as well as a list of plugins I use, so you can see what's possible if you take the time to learn.

I am also including links to the theme I have installed for each specific site. Most of the themes I use, I've purchased. But there are thousands of themes you can download and use free of charge.

But all of the sample sites have one thing in common…

They are ALL WordPress sites and/ or blogs set up using the same step-by-step process you've just learned about!

Sample Sites, Blogs & Themes:

  1. www.TheBigWebinar.com – Free online networking & training events – FlexSqueeze Paid Theme
  2. www.GoGreenThings.com – Pretty self explanatory. This is another example of a niche blog I set up using the FlexSqueeze Theme
  3. www.WMLMedia.com – Could use some sprucing up, I know. But this is actually the first blog I ever set up – Paalam Free Theme
  4. www.JustHappyStuff.com – Obviously this is the example blog you just saw me set up during this training. So you may want to keep an eye on this, as I'll probably be changing it when I have the time. At this time, I am using a Free theme called Bluebird
  5. www.NetMeetingLive.com – This is my video user guide for the Web Meet Live web conferencing service I own & operate.

If this looks familiar, it's because I use for several of my WordPress sites, including my webinar secrets blog, as well as this site your on right now. This is a paid theme called Socrates.

Popular Plugins: Click here for a list of most popular WordPress plugins, with a description of what each one is used for. The following is a list of plugins I am currently using on this site (as well as most of my others):

Plugins I Use on this site:

  1. All in One SEO Pack – Out-of-the-box SEO for your WordPress blog.
  2. Google XML Sitemaps – This plugin will generate a special XML sitemap which will help search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.com to better index your blog.
  3. Fast Secure Contact Form – The contact form lets your visitors send you a quick E-mail message. Blocks all common spammer tactics.
  4. AWeber Web Forms – Adds your AWeber Web Form to your sidebar. Must have an Aweber account to use this.
  5. Facebook Like Button – Allows people to like or recommend your blog posts and pages to their Facebook friends.
  6. SexyBookmarks – SexyBookmarks adds a list of social bookmarking icons to each of your posts.
  7. Exclude Pages from Navigation – Provides a checkbox on the editing page which you can check to exclude pages from your primary navigation menu.
  8. Better WordPress Minify – Allows you to minify your CSS and JS files for faster page loading for visitors.
  9. WordPress Manual For Developers – Comprehensive video tutorials on using the WordPress editor. I pay $25.00 per month for this. But I can install on your site for just $47 a year. Contact me for details if interested.
  10. WP-Clone – For backing up, restoring or moving my WordPress websites.

Ok… that just about wraps it up for this series. I'm sure I'll be doing more training videos, as well as keep you informed on new plugins, themes and so on. So be sure to sign up to receive my Rants, Raves & Reviews newsletter, so I can email you as I add more cool stuff!

Expect success!

Tim Romero

I absolutely love your blog and find nearly all of your post’s to be exactly I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content to suit your needs? I wouldn’t mind producing a post or elaborating on a few of the subjects you write in relation to here. Again, awesome website!
